Pure
Zinc Wire:
Plattzinc zinc wire is 99.99% pure zinc wire.
A pure zinc wire coating offers atmospheric protection
to steel superior to conventional paint coatings
by three basic forms:
| 1. |
Barrier
protection |
| 2. |
Formation
of zinc corrosion products that protect both
the coating and the steel from the environment. |
| 3. |
Galvanic
action; the zinc coating corrodes in preference
to the steel. |

85/15 Zinc/Aluminum Wire:
Plattzinc 85/15 wire is an alloy of 85% zinc and
15% aluminum by weight. When sprayed onto steel,
the alloy produces a coating with the best characteristics
of both metals for optimum corrosion protection.
This alloy is especially effective on steel against
sodium chloride(salt), sulfur dioxide and marine
environments.
